Hi, I’m Elorm.
Physician, professor, author, and speaker on purpose, leadership, and finding meaning in medicine.
I am an attending physician in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. I earned my medical doctorate at Harvard Medical School and a master's in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. I then completed Pediatrics residency at Children's National Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center.
My professional identity can be summed up in three phrases: doctor, teacher, and coach. I am a physician first and foremost, blessed with the privilege of caring for my patients and their families in the pediatric intensive care unit. I am an educator at heart, and love to help students and trainees learn and grow.
As a coach, my purpose is to motivate and inspire people to grow into the fullest version of themselves. Whether in conversation with a single student or a large professional audience, I am most alive when helping others come alive!
